First look to see if your air filter is clean and not clogged up, if it is clogged change the air filter and try your system again but keep in mind with the air conditioning system running with a clogged air filter you could have also iced up your indoor coil due to low air flow. |

You can vacuum out the inside of the unit and get all those leaves and stuff out. On most units you can gain access through the service panel. Be sure the power is off before opening the panel. Be careful not to knock off any wires and do not hit the coil as you will cause permanent damage. |
 Thermostat Troubleshooting Tips - Operation of the Call for Cooling  In the case of the thermostat calling for cooling the thermostat switches on the power from the “R” or in some cases the “RC” terminal which is the 24 volt power source to the “Y” terminal on the thermostat which is in essence the call for cooling. These terminals are located on the back or on the wall mounted face plate of the thermostat. All the wires connected to the thermostat will usually always go directly to the furnace and another set of wires will then go out to the outdoor air... |

Water dripping from the refrigerant line set (copper pipe or tubing) is
an indication of an improperly charged air conditioning system with our

system is critical to proper operation and efficiency, both too little
and too much refrigerant will cause poor operation, lack of capacity and
lower operating efficiency. |

It is truly amazing to see the damage done to outdoor air conditioning units by male dogs, it is not that the dogs are attacking the unit, scratching or biting, it's not that they are chewing the wires to the air conditioner... that is another story by itself and is fairly obvious. EPA has approved R-410A as a replacement alternative to R22, R410A is a
blend of refrigerants or hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) that does not
contribute to depletion of the ozone layer, but, like R-22, it still can
contribute to the causes of global warming. R-410A is sold under
various names such as GENETRON AZ-20®, SUVA 410A®, Forane® 410A, and
Puron®. 
Air Conditioning Systems under 5 years of age: In most cases the best advice is to simply fix the unit. Nearly all manufacturers provide a 5 to 10-year warranty on the compressor and other parts. Some also provide a 5 or 10-year warranty on the air conditioning condenser and evaporator coils.
