Radiant Heating System Explained...

Radiant Heating Diagram Heating Cooling Repairs Installations Furnace Heat Pump Air Conditioners

Hydronic radiant heating is the most common type of radiant heating in a home. Others types of radiant heating many people are familiar with include electric ceiling radiant heating or electric baseboard heaters which are not as efficient.

Radiant heating does not heat the air directly like a furnace, the heat energy is transferred through the air in all directions and is converted to heat when it contacts an object such as walls, furniture or even people.

The heat will always move from a hot object to a cold object and it cannot flow back the other way. The heated objects themselves heat the air around them.

The costs of repairing your A/C are suddenly  skyrocketing out of control

R22 Refrigrant Bottle years ago the EPA issued a mandate that the commonly used refrigerant R22 would be phased out over several years for environmental concerns about ozone depletion. Want Fresh Air but not the Energy Bills look at a Heat Recovery System

Heat Recovery SystemsEach manufacturer uses a different method but basically we can call it a heat transfer module. Both the exhausted air and the outdoor air passes through this module at the same time and in the winter the heat from the exhausted air from your home is used to pre-heat the outdoor air. In the summer the process is much the same but the heat is transferred from the outdoor fresh air to the exhausted air which pre-cools the incoming fresh outdoor air.

Cost Comparisons of Different Types of Heating Systems for your Home

Heating Systems Operating CostsWhat must be noted for these systems is that they do have an appreciable loss of both efficiency and capacity below about 40 degrees. For this reason the Air to Air Heat Pumps require an additional heat source usually provided by back up electric heat from an electric heating furnace or in the case of a dual fuel or hybrid system a gas furnace is used and as can be seen from the charts this option appears to be the best...
